And if you want a "better" gameplay, the best will be to give detailled feedbacks, explain which things are good, which things are bad (not only say WallJumps are broken).
What a surprise. You're openly saying it's Nadeo who wants B3, but trying to make it look like it's a decision from ESWC by saying it's the admins decisions (when people closely connected with Nadeo are the admins). Nice try.

And we've said time and time again on these forums why we thing B3 walljumps are broken and why B2 walljumps rule. Shall I tell you for the hundreth time or can you just go back in time and remember the other thousand posts I've written on these forums about them?

You see jonthekill, the reason there's no point in listing why B3 are bad and why we want B2 to stay in the game is because Hyllis have made up his mind regarding them.

And it doesn't help that the entire Nadeo team is like "Nono, we can't rollback to B2, that's moving backwards, we're all about moving forwards".

Despite the entire competitive community saying that B3 is utter shit and they want B2.

Just admit it for fuck sake, you want to make Casual Friendly Susy and not a competitive esport title (which it will never be, atleast not with B3 settings)

If Nadeo had been interested in fixing what was bad with B3 walljumps they had done so by now. Hylis even stated like 6 months ago they were looking to do something about B3 walljumps, but so far nothing has been done. Oh, except give us the totally useless powerwalljump that is.

And what scares me the most is you guys need to have it pointed out why we want a fully flexible and powerful walljumpsystem rather than a skill-less system that you can't get anywhere with. You shouldn't. You should simply understand that players want technical and in-depth things.

But all Hylis can even see with his own eyes is "Zomgomg, bad coding, geometry of walls, must.... fix..... and.... make... easier...."

No one has ever said "don't touch B2 walljumps". For instance, we all agree they should be more consistent and maybe perhaps not affected by geometry of walls, and if you could make B2 walljumps without those things, that would be great.

But when you spend your time making useless crap added to the game instead, the main issues will never be touched.Because in the world of Hylis and Nadeo, adding multi-hit laser is more important than fixing the key mechanics of movement.

And that says it all!

Get rid of your french arrogance and start reading what is actually written. (Hylis' last answer to me is a perfect example of him not understanding the points I was making. If this is because he's arrogant or because he's using google.translate I Don't know, but something is very wrong when a person in charge of designing games doesn't understand simple points. Maybe he doesn't want to understand them?)

It was already said that peple like him do not like Shootmania for much bigger reasons than just MJs and how the WJ works. Apparently if you wanted those people to really like Shootmania as they like "Unreal" or whatever, you had to make a completely new game... respectively remake Unreal.
So quoting that guy in a diskussion about "B2 vs B3" is rather meaningless. THAT is what Hylis meant (and also someone else if I recall right).

You talk about skill; but win against the top teams before saying that there is a low skillceiling. It is as hard to play latest gameplay than B2, it is just that B2 widen the gap between you and people that would not have practiced as much. Artificially widening the gap is not at all a sportive attitude. It is just going the opposite of football in order to go toward a hardcore, geek, limited number of participants activity. It is going more toward what Quake has become, without any possibility to really welcome new players to enjoy. But since you never talk about them, including the way you threat the Echelon approach, I think we will ever have a difference in that. Football is big because it is noob friendly as well, unlike you arguments seem to desire the game to be.
It's not artificially widening the gap. It's making room for a gap. BECAUSE THERER SHOULD BE A GAP BETWEEN ME AND THE PEOPLE WHO HASNT PRACTICED AS MUCH!

If you don't understand this simple point then this game is a lost cause. And so are you. And how dare you go after munglo on a personal level when all he does is stick to the point? That's some arrogance on your part. First you demand that people like me behave and stick on point, yet in your own posts you go after other people on a personal level in your own answers.

Shame on you!

Also, once all the top teams leave in B3 Im betting Bazinga will be amonst the top teams if we chose to stay for one day extra :roflol:

That is not the problem of the game, but of the map selection by server hosts.

It is obvious from everything he has posted Hylis' opinion is the only one that matters. "He knows how to make a competitive game" Well, currently there are 65 players in Shootmania worldwide. Yesterday at peak time for euro's there were 445. That doesn't sound like a successful game to me at all. When will you realize that you are pushing the few people that actually play your game away from it? Sure, with ESWC coming up, teams will come back and play but as soon as ESWC is over, the players that came back for it will be gone again. When you push competitive players out of your game, you kill any chances of it being a success especially when it has been marketed as an e-sports title. Competitive play is where your game gets seen and will bring in new players.
Every major change Nadeo has made has been protested by the competitive community and the result has been fewer and fewer players even logging into the game. Sure, walljumping was a great addition to the game and completely changed the dynamic but now that is completely nerfed. Keep running this ship into the ground and lose the few players that you already have because you feel that you know better than the community that actually plays this game. Also, you said earlier that defrag/obstacle players complained about the walljumping so you fixed it. So, what you are telling us is that you will listen to the people that just jump around the map doing tricks and ignore the entire community that is telling you that they liked it the way it was and that the new way is bad?
Hylis and Nadeo make me sad because I and many others truly enjoyed playing this game and they keep making it more and more casual friendly. Guess what? Competitions are what bring people to games, Elite was marketed as a competitive title and keeps getting worse for competitors. If the game hasn't taken off at this point, why keep running the people that are actually playing off?
My team will come back for ESWC but once it's over we and many others will be gone again. This game that had so much potential is dying because a couple of the higher ups think they know better than the community that is telling them they are wrong. You obviously don't know how to make a successful e-sports title, so listen to the people that are actually playing.
