First of all: Pls excuse my bad name for the topic. I was really challenged by finding a suitable name because this topic includes several problems with different approaches to face them and I wasn't able to bring that to one short description

Problems I would like to face:
- Inducement to keep playing regulary (especially on titlepacks)
-> A reward as a motivation
- Uselessness of the ingame currency: Planets
- More use of the ladder ranking
- Motivation to play new & old, unknown or least known modes & titlepacks.
The importance of rewards as an additional inducement:
Nadeo did the first step regarding the big issue - that titlepacks remain unknown or have mostly empty servers – with it’s new ‘’store’’ which helps people to explore new titlepacks.
If they see any new mode or titlepack in the store, they are curious about how the mode works and probably download the titlepack. Then, they would like to start a first match. If they’ve done their first match or a few more and tested all the new things which were brought by the titlepack (objects, new gameplay etc. ), then they aren’t curious anymore. Generally, curiosity was the inducement to discover the to this moment unknown titlepack.
But which inducement remains to play the mode further if their curiosity is satisfied? Nothing.
For example there is no real competition (e.g. e-Sport, even though I am not the biggest fan of e-Sports but it’s mainly the biggest inducement to keep playing something).
It must be the best, superb, most innovative & interesting mode so people constantly play it without having any serious inducement in their mind – at least in my opinion.
Obviously, the titlepack creator are doing something against this popular issue. Some examples are the map-contest of Torrent for his new mode, or the speedball competition last year and the upcoming one (If I read it correctly) or simply new content which are provided within new updates (But again it’s the same problem as I’ve already mentioned above:,if they’ve discovered the new things of the update, hence the curiosity is satisfied, they might won’t play the mode again or at least not so often) .
But all these competitions or contests are temporary and if the hype is gone, the servers are empty again, or some loyal fans/friends are still lonely waiting on the server in hope that someone will join.
As you might have noticed in my sentences above, an inducement is probably the biggest motivation to play a mode on long term, and not only temporary.
My idea is that Nadeo creates something like a ‘’mode of the week’’ ( I couldn’t find any suitable name for it sorry ^^) In this ‘’mode-weeks’’, Nadeo selects one certain mode ( either an official mode or a player-made mode ) If people play this mode, they receive a reward. Simple as that

Different variations/suggestions of how the mode ‘’mode-week’’ or the ‘’reward-system’’ could work:
- Only one mode is selected in the week
-> For example the duration of the ‘’mode-week’’ is only in weekends
- Several modes are selected in the week
-> Each day is a different mode (with a different reward?) i.e. "Monday: Speedball"; "Tuesday: Hunger games"; "Wednesday: Realm"etc.
- ‘’mode of the month’’ (e.g. only 3 days in a month) to highlight one mode/titlepack much more and therefore, a bigger reward
Rewards:
- You gain one ‘’LP boost’’ which gives you some extra LP after every match. Only once useable and only for a short time ( e.g. 5 days ) Important to notice: In order this feature is not too powerful, the extra lp rate should be around +5-10%.
- You get a specific amount of planets (Dependant on your performance during the week? E.g. you did it very well, you get 100 Planets. Less well, only 50Planets ) With this planets you can buy various things:
-> More LP-Boosts (Again, so it’s not too powerful: max are 5 LPB )
-> Skins
- This ‘’Mode-week’’ has it’s own ladder. Important to notice as well: I do not mean that every mode has it's own ladder, I rather suggest that there is one ladder for all the ''mode of the weeks''.
-> If you belong to the top 100, you can buy several things with planets which normal people cannot buy (e.g. very extraordinary & good-looking skins )
-> If you belong to the top 100, you automically get invited into one certain competition on the game mode which was selected in the ‘’mode-week’’. One example: It was a ‘’Royal-week’’ and the best 100 players get invited in the ‘’royal competition’’. Another example: It was a ‘’Hunger games week’’ and the top 100 players of this week are able to participate in the ‘’Hunger games competition’’.
-> There is a ‘’wall of fame’’ where
->> the player of the week/month are shown
->> The general top 10 players are shown
->> The winner of the weekly competition ( see above ) is shown
->> The people with the most eliminations
->> The people with the best game win rate (Not how much they’ve won, rather the ratio of wins/looses , e.g. 0,1-1
These reward examples shall also explain that it is not always necessary to use ‘’Cash’’ as the main inducement. Of course, it’s very effective but there are various more things where you can focus on:
For eample if you are able to use the ‘’reputation’’ aspect effectively, as I’ve tried with the ‘’wall of fame’’, it can be nearly as good as providing money.
Further example is to give people the chance to ‘’gather something’’ by means of buying things such as skins or simply something else.
Generally, these suggestions shall support custom titlepacks by attracting players with different rewards on long term.
All in all, I hope that I’ve given you some inspiration about how to face some significant problems especially by focusing on to give people an inducement and reward them, even though I doubt that all suggestions are good <.<
I am not the only one who gives some suggestions and ideas to face some typical problems. I've seen many very interesting & brilliant ideas in this forum here ( I am not talking about my suggestions, I rather talk about other guys such as novationx who already presented plenty of very useful ideas ) and I beg Nadeo that they will ever implement some of these ideas. I know, they put these ideas in their list and they've to set priorities but if suggestions are probably a fine solution of a common, very important problem, why do we hesitate then?
Best greetings,
Soprah
