meh, i cannot select "Local Network" in Local Play, any idea why this is blocked? if i cannot access it, i cannot play on my own server...

That's not the server, its the client. It has never been able to do it and I'm thinking it never will.

There are ways to do it. If your modem can do NAT loopback then you can just connect to iras a normal internet server. Or you can do an IP address hack, but that option is pretty messy.

It will be enabled, but it won't be until very close to release, if Nadeo follows the same pattern they did with TM2: Canyon. If they never intended it, the option would have been removed from the menu.

What do you mean "closer to release"? The game *has been* released already. The function is a part of the client, not the server.

The client has been upgraded to ManiaPlanet 2.0 and is tied with the ShootMania release now. Since ShootMania is still in beta, they've disabled LAN capability until closer to ShootMania's release. My apologies for not clarifying.

I'm hoping ShootMania will be released around the beginning of November, because I'm hosting a LAN party in November and would rather not use a workaround to play on LAN... but they haven't said a release date yet so I'm not sure when.

Nadeo has no idea what beta means. Our TM2 is crippled because a completely different game is still in Beta? So everytime Nadeo releases a new game, they'll just disable working features in already released games that don't work with the new Beta game. I give up.

A pre-maniaplanet2 TM2 version is available which is supposed to allow exactly the same things as before, using the pre-beta dedicated (but it's not very usefull as most or all players are using the maniaplanet2 beta...)
