Could not connect - Error 404 [fixed]

Hi.

Could not connect: Cannot connect to the server (404).

I've had two updates available today, and since i didn't really have a choice.. I installed them. No error.
I was able to launch once. But that's it. It has been some hours now, so.. I figure it can't be the server load or whatever..

I guess the code 404 means my game can't find something, right? So possibly a DNS problem..

I've read about mysterious entries in my hosts file. Nothing there. (Would have been surprised if there had been anything^^)
Read something about blocked ports.. So i deactivated every security relevant (and therefore possibly blocking) software i got. Even on my router.

And since i don't have anything to lose, and i am relating these errors to the updates, i tried reinstalling the game.

No improvement.

What should i do next? Doesn't seem it affects a whole lot of people.. Though i got to know i'm not the only one affected.

mhm.. i guess google dns failed me.. or the ipconfig /flushdns helped. whatever it is.. it seems to work now.
