[TM2] Game running too fast.

Hi all!
I have a big problem. The TM2 game engine seems to be losing it's internal "timer" or whatever on my computer and the result is that the game is just running like an old 386 game on a pentium computer

It is even not just to fast but the speed is allways changing, you can clearly see this in the end of my video where I fall down to water.

The PC is: AMD 64 X2 3800+, Radeon 4650 1GB, 2GB RAM, Windows XP SP3

On my other and newer intel+nvidia PC the game runs perfect but I don't have allways access to that.

I had this in 2006 because of a USB device, like a webcam. The driver was messing with the timer of the computer, somehow ôO.

That's strange. Thanks for the hint, I will try if I can fix it by unpluging/disabling USB devices. Even if I dont have a webcam

EDIT: I plugged out all my USB devices exept the internal cardreader (same as on my other computer) and even tryed other types of keyboard and mouse and the problem is still there.

I discovered that just after when I boot up the PC, the TM2 runs fine - I can play for 30min or so and then it slowly starts to mess up and I begin to get those "invalid time: the race will be ignored" messages online.
I closed TM2 and started TMNF and it just ran perfect . Opened TM2 again and it was still messed up.
Only after complete reboot, the TM2 worked again (for some time). Everything else (including games) seems to allways run just fine.

I allways trying to keep as litle as possible things running in background (even services) so I can't really think about some other running program causing this. I have avast antivirus installed without any "realtime shields" and it still runs one service but I don't really believe that this could be the cause but I might still try to uninstall this some day.

I updated my graphics drivers couple of days ago (and had enormous nightmare of getting Catalyst Control Center running again so I could just put my CRT to anything other than 60Hz ). It seems to be a litle better now (can play longer and it seems to not get that screwed up anymore but still gets unplayable a lot of times and only PC restart will help then. Or my PC just had a better mood recently

I hade this problem to and it seems that it bad compatible with win xp so now i use win 7 again becouse i must

Good to hear that I'am not alone

Well now I'am back to my newer PC (i7 930 and GTX470) and for some time now it is temporarily having the exat same Win XP SP3 and TM2 has still allways runned perfect on this one.

It feels like the problem could be related to having AMD, probably graphics, because when I had GF 7900GT on my older computer then I don't remember having any issues with TM2.
