I move the new SkinDiffuse.dds file into the .zip file and re-name it to SkinDiffuse.dds if it's not already, and delete the old one. I go back out into the skins folder and rename my new skin to whatever it's going to be, instead of just (old skin - Copy). Then I go into painter, make any finishing touches I need to (like adding the PreLight) and save it. It overwrites the icon.dds and you should be good to go.

I do just that.. dont work.. meh...

Hmm anyone would know how I could paint the glasses opaque/pale? I would like to put the Destruction Derby 1 black and washed out glasses on the Canyon car, but I couldn't find the right .dds it seems.
I think it is in the Detail.dds somehow, but I'm having troubles to spot them.

(picture of the kind of non-transparent glasses that I want)

Thanks for your time :)

I'm pretty clueless to find the glasses. I took the afternoon to try and find them by touching bits of the template here and there, and all I managed to do was to mess up with the ig cars (I'm very beginner so it takes time, lol).

If someone could pretty please spot the glasses in, say, green, the help would be very appreciated..! Although maybe I did find them and screwed the actual editing part?

Glass isn't a texture. It's an element

Ok well, starting from that I've been doing a few searches and it seems like it takes a 3D modeller to change the properties of said elements. So I guess it'll be even harder than I had hoped. Thanks.

"When i don't know it, i should not give any comments" ...

Here a pic that show where you can change all glasses on the car:

I test it self some minutes ago after i read the question for this and saw this place in the texture file. For what should that be when not for color only anything on the car?

The black part in that field looks like its not used, can't find it on the car (checked the mirrors too).

Ah, that's something I didn't think of and was apparently unknown of by the others, thanks Balmung, good job :)
