2D Skins using the in-game Painter tool

Post by wraith »

Hello everyone :)

We have a tool in the game which Nadeo wants us to use, sadly no one ever sees the skins
people can make, ok we know maniapark as some stunning 2D Skins, but i feel we need to
show our work where we can use the in game painter, without using tools like Photoshop/gimp
etc.

I know there some people will say in game tool is not that good, well i bet alot of people can
not skins cars like the best people on maniapark.. "thats why i have started this post"

Rules are simple
No obscene skins
In game painting tool only
* = could give links to download your work if you want to

So if you got some skins you have made why not show them off here, you never know someone on maniapark may end up skinning a car with your skin, just to take it one more stage better
*also do you like making Stickers for car skins why not show them as well

Lets see some nice work then..

The last time I was using the ingame car painter tool was back to TMNF but never achieved any great result :D

Just discovered the TM2 painter tool and it's simply amazing. Maybe I will come up with some great cars ^.^
Thanks for the information anyways!

Very nice work, in game painter is ok when you know how you can manipulate it to do what you want. whilst easy and seen as a gimmick (I'm to stubborn and lazy to go in-depth with GIMP or PS), you can from a novice's perspective get something reasonable.
Worth noting,
- You can undo only so far with the undo/redo arrows. Fix your mistakes up pronto.
- Save colours that you'll re-use on project in the 'palette bank' by holding ctrl and clicking on a slot.
- Go easy with the shininess...... It gives me grief.

Hello, everyone.
I am new to the forums, and I have a problem I really want to solve here.
So, I downloaded some Trackmania car models, 3D and 2D, I have some that I need to buy in order to use it, though, it said I needed my validation code, (I'm using Trackmania Universal Demo btw) I don't know my validation code, so, after that, I went to my player page, and tried to reset my Key code, I didn't know my Key either.

I also have a even bigger problem, I can't select my car models at all, It won't let me, so I can't use any car models I want to select. I know there's a way to just make a forum post here but I'm really in a hurry right now, but I really want to pay my car models and select my car models, I hope someone has a solution here, because this is my first time succesfully using my car models for Trackmania 2 (Canyon, Stadium, Valley), I've been struggling to use them before the Universal Demo, and I really want to use them, but if there isn't a solution...I guess I'll just have to deal with it. :(

@TMRacer15
validation code is in the e-mail you get when you created your maniaplanet account.
i think with demo you can not use custom cars and colored names but not sure.

@jui
Yeah, that's the problem...

By the time I quit Maniaplanet some time ago, I forgot my original email's password, and I'm pretty sure every one of my Maniaplanet stuff are stored in there.
Also, in the Universal Demo I saw a person with a name glow.
