[Mod] Canyon IceAge (work in progress)

Post by Balmung »

I work at the moment on a mod that i name simple "IceAge". Will post here some Pics of the actually State.

Some Textures can't be changed, so i will let it be a Mix of both: normal Canyon and my Mod. Download Link comes, when i finished the mod so far and while we in the beta now, its not a big problem to do this. ;)

Very nice looking! I will def. download it!

Couple things: I would make the road look more... icy.
And, is the dirt one of the "unchangeable" textures?

 Okay, so we have the three original envis already, in Canyon. :P Anybody want to start working on an urban mod? Seriously, though, this looks freakin' awesome. Your mod and CoastKid's mod are the top mods that every good Maniac has to get
As for suggestions, like Metasane said, I would make the roads have snow/ice tracks on them, like cars had skidded across them or the snow had drifted across the road--and make the sky a more icy blue, rather than a clear blue like it is...Watch the end of the Day After Tomorrow (or really, any time after New York is buried) for the specific shade :P

The Skitmark Dirts are unchangeable so its always brown offroad and black onroad. And only the Look can be changed, so a ice road make not much sense when you can drive there like on roads. Thats why i while let the roads itself as it is and only chance the other thing. What i must look is if i can "delete" the plants on some places with empty textures, can work, must look. I think the Trees can also have a little bit white on it, must working, but not try it yet.

At the last try i think i have done a little bit to much blue on the ice, must i change it back, back blue will it be, use google and you will find much bluer ice. ;) When you driving the ice looks still great, but it needs fine tuning. ^^

But this are only work in progress pictures. ;)

Exactly that brings me to that idea. ;)

But your idea is more compatible with the standard Theme. ^^

Well then, it can be Alaskan tundra rather than Arctic ice-and-ice-for-miles-and-miles

It's very sad to hear that not every texture is changable. :|
But the mod is a good idea and I will definitely download it! :1010
