Saw these in another post and thought I'd add them to this topic:
niklas_2011 wrote:Hey guys,

the New Blockset (the one that goes underground, dirt + road) is seriously lacking S-Turns!

With S-Turns this Blockset would be used a lot more often. Without them it's kinda not usable for tech maps, etc. apart from the start, because in all other turns you'll be too fast and you need to build them before a turn to get the line for the car right (at a certain level of speed).

Please add S-Turns!
I also like S-Curves and Chicanes.

maybe the underground blocks could be made so that the 90 degree turns are made to be less vicious and maybe also full tarmac . instead of the "landing strip" with dirt on either side , maybe have both for usability .the current underground blocks can be good ( i have used these myself in some tracks ), but they are kinda useless for fs maps

just my 2 pence worth

I'd also like to see a transition from those to some tunnel blocks.

With blocks 1-4-3, 1-4-4, 1-4-5 and 1-4-6 in valley to be made into a two way split? So it could be what starts and ends a split. With blocks 4-1-1, 4-1-2, 4-1-3, 4-1-4, 4-1-5 and 4-1-6 in valley to have no pillars inside the blocks. With blocks 1-1-2, 1-1-3, 1-1-4 and 1-1-5 in the stadium to be also blocks with elevation. With blocks 2-2-1, 2-2-2, 2-2-3, 2-2-4, 2-2-5 and 2-2-6 in stadium to be able to be placed on the ground. With blocks 6-2 to have the same blocks like blocks 6-1in the stadium. Those kind of blocks.

Please use thumbnails as described here, this would help to understand which blocks you mean exactly in your post ;)

Yea those thumbnail links really make it clear to people what you are refering to.
Here's an exaple...

Hello All :) . This is a really nice topic and I want to be a part of it. I am builder in TM for 5 years, mostly in Stadium environment, so I will concentrate on this environment. What I am missing the most is not the new blocks at all, but making the old ones working better. Some of the blocks cannot be placed on the ground, and I think they should be. I mean these ones - 2.1.6 , 2.1.7 , 2.2.x , 2.3.x , 2.4.x and also 3.4.1 , 3.4.2 , 3.4.5 , 3.4.6 . And now with the pictures:
2.1.x:

2.2.x:

2.3.x:

2.4.x:

3.4.x:

When I bought TM2S i hoped that this "bug" will be repaired. Placing these blocks on the ground can be only possible with HEX editor, and that is not the best solution. I can also say that on every second competition map like ESWC, ESL, TMM or TMT you can see the blocks placed on the ground, because, very nice curves can be made. Especially the blocks 2.1.6 , 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.3.1, 3.4.1 and 3.4.2 . With the new blocks( underground ) , 7.3.1 , 7.3.2 , 7.3.3 you cannot connect any of these blocks mentioned earlier although there is a direct connection. Mainly the 7.3.3 block which can be useful for technical maps. You can connect only 2.1.4 and that is weird :? . Pictures:
2.1.4:

7.3.x

I hope that this thing can be done in next patches and not only me but a lot of builders will appreciate it :) .
About new blocks I will make a new post later.

First, Welcome to the topic. I feel like this is an important topic for the Nadeo team to keep an eye on.
Second, thank you so much for making your thoughts and ideas clear by using Whitestar's block icons.

I totally agree with your thoughts on those blocks. Especially the ones that sit flat or slope parallel to the ground. I've been frustrated many times that those couldn't be placed on the ground. Some might argue that it forces us to be more creative but I feel that more block possibilities expands our creativity not restricts it.

Filipe1020 had a cool idea for a "Barrel Roll" Block in the Topic: Barrel Roll ramps and I wanted to add it to this collection of new block ideas.

I know it's possible to do that kind of stunt but it could be nice to have a ramp specific for that sort of thing

A ramp corner block is missing here in Canyon:
Image
This would allow fast tracks (endurance or NASCAR style)

Similar corner block would also be great for the blocks 5-2-4 and 5-2-5 (the big concrete looping blocks) :)

Additionally, a symmetric block to the pipe block 10-2-4 isa missing.
