Replay Validation

Post by zett »

Hey All,

I tried to create a replay from an autosaved ghost (map played online), but it wasn't uploadable at MX ("Replay is not validated"). Is it possible to create such replays that way or do I have to play the map offline and using the replay from there?

I think the autosaved ghost is not really a replay. You would have to save it using the explicit replay saving function.
And possibly there is some difference in the file header then.

Or the race was not complete.

I saved the ghost as a replay in the replay editor (without changing cams etc.) after I also downloaded the map from MX. The replay can be viewed, also. Maybe just a code error or something (not too heavy, I'm into the top dedis on this map anyway 8-) ) but a bit strange...

yeah, this would be a question to MX makers why the system doesn't accept autosaves.
you might ask them?

Yep, I'll ask them about it. At least I think it was just bad luck by myself

Also, if it is an older replay it may not be compatible with the current game version. There have been changes inTM2 and I have many replays that I had to just toss out because they are no longer compatible.
