Hi All .... Just wondering if anyone has any information as to where I can find a server that has a certain type of track as I can't find any on TM2. The kind of server I am looking for would have tracks of the following description ....
1. No road or track blocks are used except for Start/Finish, ramps, CPs, turbos and corners to show the direction of the race course. This means you drive on the Canyon 'dirt' itself.
2. Well sign posted so people don't keep getting lost and frustrated
4. Format in 'Rounds' mode
5. Finishable from any and all CPs so any player can finsh and not have to 'retire' should they crash before the finsh. (within the allotted track time of course)
Hope someone can help ... cheers

Re: Looking for a different type of track
i have never heard of that type of track before let alone a server, but it sounds easy to build. why don't you build the tracks yourself? thats what trackmania is about. perhaps then if you upload them to mx or something you can get an admin to add them to his/her server. just an idea

Re: Looking for a different type of track
Good idea and I would do mate but am getting on abit now and having great difficulty understanding the track editor no matter how hard I try ... it was hard for me in TM1 too I've driven on a few of these tracks as and where I've found them but they're very scarce and are the closest thing I've found to 'dirt' on TM2. You can really wind up a fast pace and its quite 'hairy' sometimes as you hurtle through the canyons (especially in 3D lol)... unlike bouncing off a narrow tracks rails If I find a server with a similar track then I will post its name and location

Re: Looking for a different type of track
These track replays probably best describe the type of track I am talking about .... lots of dirt and no 'pinballing' (Thanks to Gaff3r for creating them ) ... See what you think... have fun http://www.mediafire.com/?7zup8f239ar7yic
Re: Looking for a different type of track
I've made some like that but never uploaded them so they won't be on any servers.
They are a fun type of track.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I recently played in the HC1 (Hill Climb) competition put on by ET.
Here's the maps from the competition if you wish to try them:

Re: Looking for a different type of track
O_O They look kind of simple, but also have some amazingness to them.
I wish I could make tracks as i'd make those kinds.
I guess I better start trying to work this editor out then. If I ever manage to do one and I think it is half-decent, i'll let you see what you think.
Don't hold your breath though as I don't know how good I can be at making tracks.
EDIT: Eyebo, those maps are insane XD I got lost so much!
