Slowmotion only in Replay?
Is there any way to make Slowmotion Ghosts in Intro or ingame Mediatracker? i tried everything and it just wont works.
Re: Slowmotion only in Replay?
In the mediatracker you have a track called Time
Create one frame where you want the slowmotion to start (for an example when a car hit something) and one where you want it to stop (for an example when it stops spinning)
|---â–«----â–«-------|
___1___2_____
Now take key 2 and move it right. The further away from the 1st key, the slower it gets.

Re: Slowmotion only in Replay?
When you do that though, the time after key #2 speeds up. Is there a way to move key #2 and the end key at the same time without moving them seperately.

Another way to do it is typing in a time-value in those key-frames, rather than dragging them away from each-other.
Let's say you made keyframes at the 3rd & 6th second in the editor, what you actually did was making those keyframes at a fixed time value, which by default would go parallel with the video at normal speed.
When you drag the 2nd keyframe further away, you're actually lengthening the time it takes to get to the time value of 6, which is the 6th second of your recorded ghosts, and thus creating a slow-mo effect that's kind of hard to adjust the speed & duration of.
If you instead click the 2nd keyframe, you should be able to type inn your own time value, let's say 3.5, which would make a slow-mo effect where half a second would pass for the recorded ghosts in the three seconds between the keyframes.
This would also allow you to simply take away (6 - 3.5 =) 2.5 seconds from the time value at the end of the time block, or lengthen the block by 2.5 seconds to regain normal speed after the 2nd keyframe.

Re: Slowmotion only in Replay?
Excellent idea. Thank you. I do wish there was just a a simple "Slow motion" effect block to add and simplify the whole precess. Also I don't see any way to do slow motion in an "end of race" replay. I create intro, end race and podium media for every track I create.

Re: Slowmotion only in Replay?
I tried to use that method and it worked perfectly, however i have a nother big problem, lets say i use Camera path and i set into a certain position make a keyframe and make a 10 second space in between and then make another one. After i play it the clip start the way i want but as soon as it passes the first frame camera flys away and then comes back i mean wtf. Thanks for helpSiH13 wrote:In the mediatracker you have a track called Time

Re: Slowmotion only in Replay?
I've ran into that same problem a few times and have started using the Custom Camera more often. It tends to look better in 'End of Race' replays. The camera going past the mark is an effect of the cameras inertia which you can change by changing the interpolation type.

Re: Slowmotion only in Replay?
I used this method and in my version of the time speed it seems to work nice while in editor but never works when track is rendered and released to mx, what is the solution then only use it for AVi display. (oh also Windows movie player na works with AVI when rendered only plays car sound and black screen a diffrent story).

Make sure it's the "Time" block, and not the "Timespeed" block.mooseman2099 wrote:I used this method and in my version of the time speed it seems to work nice while in editor but never works when track is rendered and released to mx, what is the solution then only use it for AVi display. The "timespeed" block only slow down the playback in the editor, doesn't seem to do anything for the video.

The "Time" Block should always be there by default.
Re: Slowmotion only in Replay?
Yes, True.
Maybe somebody will make a script someday that can automaticaly do and add in slowmotion calculations.
I havn't found a way yet to incorporate slow motion in an 'End of Race' media tracker replay.
