Accessibility of the maps can be a problem indeed.

The "Maniacs" servers usually feature maps that can be easily driven by beginners. (few precise jumps, for example)

Explore also by yourself some servers until you find one that suits you.

Our server is also beginner friendly. Short maps (40 second max) and not too hard.
Also always friendly people there, willing to help you out.

That wouldn't happen on league maps.

Out of curiousity, which TrackMania game are you trying to play?

Also, Romain is right. The tracks that competitive players play are actually some of the best in the game for new players, because they're easy to finish at nearly any speed, but hard to master. Great for all skill levels. Most of these maps are classified as tech or speedtech. So I would look for a tech or speedtech server if you can find one.

And of course you're welcome on the VTC1 training servers (if you play Valley). Although you'll face league (competitive) drivers that might be much faster than you, you can get tips from them and learn from their driving, while playing manageable maps.
