Another plea to Nadeo/Hylis to improve wheel support

I would say I am excited for Valley and Stadium, but Trackmania 2 overall, has let me down because of the controller support I wanted to play Canyon with my steering wheel but steering wheel support in all TM games have been terrible and I fear it will be no different for Valley/Stadium.

Nadeo for the love of God PLEASE provide better wheel and controller support! The way it functions now is TERRIBLE!

Remapping buttons is glitchy and doesn't function properly...

No center spring adjustment option for those of us with ffb wheels, so the wheel feels loose and without resistance...

The rumble is very weak and gimmicky, and isn't like real force feedback at all.

I know this is an arcade game but some of us enjoy playing arcade games with our steering wheels. After all, arcade racing games started out in the arcade with FULL wheel and pedal support!

Please guys, don't leave us wheel users in the dark. This *is* a game where you DRIVE CARS afterall

actually that's not entirely true It took an entire year for the steering wheel to appear

1st arcade racegame was space race by atari in 1973.. look at the steering wheel


2nd arcade racegame was astro race by taito


3rd arcade racegame was Speed race by Taito in 1974

I totally agree with you that you can't drive any Trackmania game with wheel and pedals. I have an Logitech G27 and you can not drive with it.

But I can't agree with you with the controller support. I am driving all Trackmania games with my XBOX 360 Controller and I even became top 10 in TMUF. And in my opinion you can drive with a controller really good.

Well, you do have a point, you can drive with the controller, but it's the remapping function I take issue with. The moment you try and use multiple controllers...in my case, A)Steering Wheel, B)Pedals & C)Stick Shifter(all separate USB devices), the game starts acting crazy and doesn't allow you to map what want to where properly. I can't use my pedals properly because the game thinks its on a certain axis, etc etc. Very annoying.

Please Nadeo, please tweak the wheel and pedals support in Valley and Stadium. So us wheel users can enjoy and experience these otherwise GREAT games!

Sure we would like to improve the wheel support, especially for Valley, and I also would like to enable servers to allow one type of devices, like wheel only, in order to fix one of the most important issue that is the performance feasible link to one device.

But, it is always a question of priority. The priority increase with the picture of the arcade cabinet, because it is fun, but I should not say this, since I can only expect stupid stuff for the months to come in that direction. So, I would say that it is still a cold and careful way to make the priority list. This list is hard to explain, to understand and to accept. But you can be sure my desire is that it is the best for the projects to succeed and have more and more players to enjoy the games. And when I say this, I include the way some small groups can enjoy it so much that it is more important than bigger groups that enjoy it less. Even more when the smaller group invites other people to get the game ^_^ And it is maybe also why the spirit of this group is important.

At the moment, the priority is making Maniaplanet foundations, with multiple titles etc. There are some stuff in the beta 2 of Shootmania Storm that shall please Trackmania players as well. But we still have to maintain a lot of things that are already done: the hotseat and solo of Raid are broken this morning. So, everything takes time.
