We'd love to hear what you're doing with the Maniaplanet Web Services SDK ! Whether it's a simple usage of ManiaConnect, or a more complete application, respond in this thread to indicate what you're doing.

At Mania Exchange we use the MPWS to:

• Create a 'link' between an MX account and ManiaPlanet. It's a form of authentication we enforce to prevent fake awards and duplicate accounts.
• Post ManiaHome notifications to players and their buddies informing them of their recent upload/creation.

We do not use the PHP SDK. MX has a strict no PHP policy. I have written libraries previously for the TMWS which are open source (no ManiaPlanet support yet). The libraries I wrote for MX: OAuth client and ManiaHome, are heavily integrated into the web application. These will eventually make an open-source appearance.

TM² Dedimania use MP Web Services SDK :

- to authenticate player
- once authenticated, the player can register his dedicated accounts for Dedimania use.

The German Mania-Community uses the MPWS SDK to display additional information of the users who specified their ManiaPlanet-account in the profile -- Nearly the same way as it does with the TMWS SDK.


Tetris
The new version of the Tetris-ManiaLink uses ManiaConnect to identify the current player, so that Highscores and Options can be associated with the ManiaPlanet account.

We use it on our ESL manialink to authenticate and active admin features for users which are marked as admins

The SDK will help the website Team R*Mania for two things :

DedicatedServer for the state of the servers

On our manialink unc-crew I use the following atm:

ManiaConnect: login, nickname
Notification: ml recommendation, downloads
Multi- / Solo-playerRankings: To show rankings on our members.
Dedicated: To get online status

And on our homepage I'm using MultiplayerRankings for our members info.
