I think that's completely fair, as Gekko has always stated the fact that he doesn't want to give the sourse. It's not complicated, and compeltely justified to delteing the posts that people were asking for, as you said. So when people are asking for it (not to mention, in an attacking and unpleasent attitude) its only obvious that you want to get rid of those topics.

Anyway, i think the point is being missed here, and like Gekko has just said, he doens't want to give the sourse simply because of untrusted people on TM, and therefore planets would be stolen. It's quite simple, svens, Xymph.

I am surprised the main concern is players getting their planets stolen... Is there a flaw/backdoor (or whatever you want to call it) in maniaplanet which would allow players to steal planets from other players? If so then just notify the issue to nadeo by PM... And then the source could be made open again ... Or is there an other reason and this is just an excuse?

Is not that easy.
I explain...
Using Planets directly is not a good thing for coders, cause you can do only donation.
A bad admin can put manually his login in donation.php instead the server login and more other tricks.
I can also send all admins password to my email if i want...for newby installer, that don't know php, can be a disaster, cause they will never go to look the code inside.

With TPS you get MOF for Planets, this avoid the first problem.
Another feature is the OS, it avoid command line hacking.
TPS don't use command line or chat, is like hmmm the os on a Phone.

Now, if i release the MOF Manager, we return to the begin again.
What i need is to do a core engine and encrypt only it.
After i will complete this, i will release all except the core.
Simple no?
