[B1.2b] Maniaplanet desktop protocol broken?

What I wanted to mention
Since alpha, the maniaplanet protocol doesn't seem to work anymore

I cannot call anything maniaplanet:///: in the browser or desktop, the manual registry fix doesn't show any functionality as well.

and click on the "Join Server" in the Author comments.

Nope.. no reaction. browser tells me "protocol 'maniaplanet' isn't connected to any program" :0

Ah wait, I'm an idiot. I made silly typo in the manual registry fix, that's why it didn't work out.
That is fixed now.

However, Maniaplanet should install the protocol by itself, which it doesn't seem to do at the current beta stage.
