Mappool Test for ESWC 2013

Post by Kryw »

Hello,

After some reflexions, reading, reading and reading about the official mappool of ESWC I decided to make a mappool balanced for ESWC with old/classic/new map and goods maps.
I remixed ArchWays, CastleCrasher, Collided, CrossRoads and Malevolance (so much hidden tunnels and offzones who kill your fps..) to be more balanced and unjoyable by competitors.
I tried my best to "kill" the ultra campy positions without cheated fences and make interesting tricks/moves.

list :

Elite - ArchWays v2
Elite - CastleCrasher v2
Elite - Collided v2
Elite - CrossRoads v2
Elite - derezzed v2
Elite - Malevolance
Elite - Paladin 2k13
Elite - Rust - IPL
Elite - Spitfire

This looks much better than the current map pool for ESWC.

My team (Curse) tried to practice on the ESWC maps yesterday and even the old school maps remade were absolutely terrible. We tried to figure out how we could play properly and after 30mins we gave up there is nothing to do the maps are way too big and completely empty for most of them.

Its beyond me how these maps have been selected, guys this isnt trackmania you can t just drop a bunch of random maps and expect people to be happy about it.This an FPS game new maps should always be tested by players during competitions with less importance just to see how it plays out and if its actually playable and also enjoyable to watch.

Kryw made a huge step coming up with this map pack,it might be not perfect but its already 99% better than the current one for sure and im sure a lot of people will agree with me on that.

From what i have seen since the announcement of the eswc map pack there is not a single player that came to me saying those maps were interesting.
We are not against new maps and changes but at least consult us and make us try them before taking any decisions.

See you guys at ESWC

Selection is clearly ok for a tournament...

..too bad noone get's credited. It's what I already mentioned; you take others maps and get your credit in the tournaments. If you would be a good guy, you would have atleast contacted the mappers and let them save the map so their own name will be seen. But with that, it's kryw, kryw , kryw, and not a community. That's not the spirit of Maniaplanet. Maybe you see the problem here, instead of having an argument? Intros with the names do not matter.

killaprodtm : it's not only kryw choice , kryw know which maps are good or not for competition & most of elite players will agree with him (actually for this map pool). At the moment he's the only one who try to make some change on shootmania and contribute to.

Sorry if my english is not correct or bad

btw +1 for this map pool
