It seems to me that my car starts, let's say, 1/10th of second before the shot in A02
Can someone check if he sees the same behavior also on other tracks?

Yeah, I noticed that about the sounds too. And I think it's because of what is said in the other topic. The wheels don't have to drop at the start. They're already on the ground, so you take off a bit faster.
Does the countdown need to be adjusted? I'm not sure. It feels fine to me. The car takes off at the moment the shot is fired, not really before. It's just earlier than we're used to in tm2s.

The car starts on the ground now, yes, but more importantly they've altered the actual car physics. The car accelerates faster at low speeds, drifts easier at high speeds and crashing and slamming into walls is a lot more forgiving now. Turning also feels slightly different, especially on dirt, I'm not sure if that's just because the camera movement has changed.
The consequences are obvious: All previously made TM2 PF-tracks are broken and all online and local track records are now outdated, author medals on tracks are easier to get.

I'm not sure that anything other than the start has changed. That would certainly be enough to break TM2S PFs though.

man, I've started to remake my TMNF fullspeeder today, driving line is exactly the same, except the start, eyebo is right I guess. tho somehow landings became even more buggy (or it's just me), test A08 - a bugfest.

After playing for a few hours after the update, finally getting my first world record pretty easy (and then losing it pretty easy too
), I noticed that landing bugs still occur quite often. Strange car behaviour, engine stopping sometimes, bumping on invisible obstacles with only my rear wheels and my car suddenly going left or right after a (what I thought was a) straight forward jump when I touch down. So I think, except for the start change, which makes it more look and feel like Canyon (yes!
), the only thing that has changed is the camera view.
Since the last update didn't contain new tracks (unfortunately), we can lose our heads on the current tracks, because we can start all over again. Which is, as an alternative, a funny challence imo...

If I were you, I would not spend any time on the solo tracks anymore since the complete ladder will be reset with 95% probability.

I guess you're right, but the alternative is waiting for that to happen, which might take a while. The only thing we need to do is not getting to excited about a certain record we drove, because it's probably just somebody's 15 minutes of fame. No more, no less...
