It is an ongoing thread with some players that we are making some trouble to TM users. It is true, but at the same time, we are adding features for it: real time chat, scripts evolution, loading time of the interface to go multiplayer, simple video editor, object importer with grids (especially requested by Stunters players) and more, only in the last update.
By the way, the missing blocs where mainly the ones we added to the game after and made the mistake of not including them at the very last moment. There is always a last moment where you can do a mistake.
I also think we are bringing additionnal awareness and potentially more players for your title by making it part of more.
So, for the players who would like to see Canyon isolated, with nothing changed since it's first release, I am sorry. For the others, I am sorry for our mistakes, but we are just doing our best to bring the best Maniaplanet as possible.

Re: Trackmania 2 evolutions
It's definitly not a problem that the game evolves. On the contrary. The problem is/was that there was no reaction from the devs side when we all noticed the game was damaged last night.
Re: Trackmania 2 evolutions
Thanks for this explanation Hylis
No one is perfect and we all make mistakes, especially when dealing with something as complex as ManiaPlanet. Thanks for fixing the blocks problem so quickly!
The small and temporary inconvenience of a few bugs is well worth many of the new features we're getting.
Keep up the good work guys!

Hylis did write in the French forums, and TMarc later translated it. But by then I think most everyone had gone to bed.zarexz wrote:It's definitly not a problem that the game evolves. I can't even find TMarc's post with the translation. Probably burried under all the crappy posts of today.
Re: Trackmania 2 evolutions
Maybe you are harder with me because I made 1747 messages so far in this forum (and around 5000 in others) and not this message, on the night of the release. I wished to do it before going to sleep, but I felt asleep, probably exhausted.zarexz wrote:It's definitly not a problem that the game evolves. On the contrary. After so many years of hard work, I feel that there is something else that is wrong here, than a missing message.
Re: Trackmania 2 evolutions
Well, okay. Maybe I was jaleous because last night I've never seen that many orange names online but all busy with shootmania. Which is of no interest to me. And no reaction on my broken pressious game and our teamnight failed and have a really hard time keeping my friends together in Canyon telling them it will be allright.... soon... i hope....Hylis wrote:After so many years of hard work, I feel that there is something else that is wrong here, than a missing message.
Re: Trackmania 2 evolutions
I know that some Canyon players are jaelous of Storm, that some players from one Trackmania are jealous of other Trackmania. I think it is natural, but it should be avoided. It is because Storm is here that we are capable to support Maniaplanet and Canyon by doing so, and vice versa.
Canyon, Valley, Stadium compared to Storm. I hope Shootmania players will not be jealous

I like TM to evolve. It's a good thing.
And thank you so very much for the quick fix of the missing blocks.
Much appreciated!! Really!
