meuh21 has done a desert mod for Valley, but it's not (?) available for download outside of his Raid2 title.
I could try to make a mini-mod based on my mods SaharaCanyon and DesertValley. I think a mini-mod is enough because forest, dirt roads, etc arent' not needed for a F1 track ;) But trees could be a problem (and time also for me...)

It was funny to test this map and title   . But his lifetime is short, so i don't know if it is interesting to spend hours on a mod. And the best solution would be for you to work on the object texturing and mod at the same time (much more efficient). And with this method you coul improve road borders ;)

A F1 Title Pack could be interesting for fans. There are different strategies to do that. I prefer a solution more closed to TM spirit so with more trackbuilding. That mean more TM but less reality maybe. But a title with different whole circuits is also possible.

Cheers Hylis! Sorry, I figured it out earlier but for some reason I forgot to update my post.

Anyway, as for the track itself, really good. A bit empty in terms of background at the hairpin but that's a minor issue. I also am way too rough with the curbs, and seem to constantly keep flipping over at the tight/fast bends. But that's probably something I'll get better at avoiding with practice. Looking forwards to the F1 style, no sliding, avoid contact tournament. (If that is it's name) :pil

Hey all,
also here thx to darkpuddle for this epic map and titlepack. That went really fast after I asked him. :o

Here is the new version of the map, by driving in the correct direction:
http://tm.mania-exchange.com/tracks/view/67019

Ofc you can do what ever you want on the track, but for the project which I try to organise now, following things are important, when you drive:
Don't touch other cars! Overtake eachother without touching, let always room for the other one.
Never drift! When you brake, don't steer. Drive straight when you brake.

Download my replay to see how the map shall be driven in the race.
We need the same braking points to make it possible to fight with each other without letting the cars touch.

;)

There are 4 braking points:
End of start/finish straight: start brake at end of white sign on the left
End of fs-part after 1st turn: start brake directly after the little left turn
End of straight after 180°: start brake at end of violet sign on the right
End of following straight: start brake before shadow ends

On the rest of the track, just release the throttle. :)
-----------------
The race will look like that:
- We drive whole distance = 55 laps
- I will add MT for fuel and tyres, you have to do pit stops in the race
- Different stratgies will be possible, from 2 to 4 stops
- The qualifying (15min TA) will decide, who gets which car. Place 1&2 RedBull, 3&4 Ferrari, ...
- The starting grid will be random with slower drivers in front => overtaking action guaranteed
- We need at least 22 drivers, 1 SafetyCar driver, 1 race director
- If someone makes a big crash, he's out. If his car is on the track, Safety Car comes out.
- Maybe we do rain as well during the race, but not sure, cause AbuDhabi xD
- The race director writes in the chat: the start signal, when SC comes out and goes in
- During the race we are all in Teamspeak together, to warn ourselves when we attack someone
- After the race is over, I'll edit cameras of the whole race, making TV-like cameras
- Then race gets commentated by English-speaking people
- Then someone makes a video out of this, like the last one:
http://www.tm-tube.com/video/28134/F1+S ... ed+Forever
:)

The most important thing in the race is, that the cars do not touch. It would be sad, if players change positions and we can't show it in the videos, cause they touched. Also stay fair all over the race, don't cut, or drift to gain time. Drive safely! Try to not crash! Take very safe lines and watch out at the braking points. And don't go too much over the curbs.

To train the map with the skins that we'll use in the race, download them here:

Hey tested this pack by downloading from the ingame store. I got no sp campaign or similar, all "colors" are marked with a lock symbol:
Image

If i connect to a mp server the track itself looks a bit weird imo, some parts are just black and you can´t see clearly :D
Image
May i have to reduce my gfx settings? All is on ultra/very high, may this is the reason why some textures shine like hell and the darker parts are just black or is the track not rendered on ultra?

And a general thing, imo the textures are a bit to "low" style, i know for the filesize it´s needed but imo it could be a bit nicer and more hd like, just a small suggestion.

Overall this is really nice and cool, very nice job
