I bought Canyon, Stadium and Valley, some time ago, from the Nadeo site, not Steam. I only play offline and when I come back to the game after an absence of some weeks, I always get the above message and have to go online to activate each environment. Why? I had hoped that my image backups would stop this happening, but no.
Is this something I have to live with?
This Title is not playable. (Why Not?)

Normally you need to play online one time to be able to enter in the title in offline mode.

This is normal. You need to go online after 3 to 4 weeks offline.
There are many reasons for that, like to synchronize your online profile stored on the masterservers, keep your game system up to date, check if your account is still valid, make you aware of game news, etc.

Thanks for that. At least I now know it's not buggy. The only 'advantage' in connecting from time to time, is picking up a load of planets, for which I have no use. This is the only game I own, which is restricted in this way and I will not be keeping the account, as soon as I can find someone to take it off me. Thank you for your reply.

In short, DRM.
Solution: Ask the company not use DRM. Multiplayer, stats, comunity options... is good, but it should be optional.
