as much I remind florent said they started trackmania 2 already in 2006 , so there is (almost/more) 5 years of work in this game...

We must take into account that TM2 is not the only project being undertaken at Nadeo.

TrackMania² really started in 2008, even if we made some tests on other environments before.

In fact, TM² is build upon all the programming work we have done before, but it is a new start at the same time.

I don't think so. But as mostly allof the new mac's support the x86 cpus, you can easily run a windows/mac dualboot system :D

Yeah i know tcq ^^ Bootcamp etc.;-)
But it's still more confortable using a Mac os on a Mac-System ^^

We are focusing on PC at the moment.

It was really a big challenge to make TM² for us. We wanted to keep it simple. So, there was no way to make the #2 by adding game features, and we wanted to stay with the original strengths. So, to make a sequel that is as simple and similar, while making it "2" was hard!

Now, other than game features, there is the maniaplanet system. This is the easiest but longest part to do. This should boost the power to the players, and that's a really good combination, for me, with the game part that stays simple. I even think it is obligatory to be really efficient. If the basic game is too complicated, then it means that many choices would be already done.

Install windows on your mac!
I also need a macbook for next year at school, but i will still play it on my workstation pc
