Re: Maniaplanet 2 Update
Can I downgrade to TrackMania ManiaPlanet 1 when I get my internet cut off in 2 weeks(while Internet is off), as you seem to be so busy with Storm
I so would like to play TM2 in the offline mode with new track pieces, while im offline for 4 months ready to come back.
Please Please Please get a fix for this before i go offline in 2 weeks.

Re: Maniaplanet 2 Update
oh man, they already said you can run maniaplanet 1 to play offline. If you can´t help yourself why should they help you?
sorry, but it´s true.

Re: Maniaplanet 2 Update
Well, thats good news eyebo, but i doubt MP1 can play maps made in MP2, at least I'm sure cannot load maps with the new blocks.... But for the old maps, it would be a work around...eyebo wrote:Just a note. Forzyy told me MP1.0 replays do work with MX again. So that's a non-issue.
I'm not talking about LAN Hylis, just the ability to play the ingame tracks or downloaded replays from the folders....when ofline... Without it, it is a HUGE limitation in the game. And it pisses me also of a bit to be "victim" of a game (Shotmania) I am not at all interested in. Just to mention...Hylis wrote:We have our priorities for development and LAN will be back later. Maniaplanet 1 is with LAN and if a site in not compatible with it, it is far from being a limitation from the software.
I know the current situation requires patience, but it is made to enable TrackMania 2 Canyon to be updated in the future alongside ShootMania software. It is made to enable better bridges between players and creations from them. it is made to prepare things for the game you should be able to see later, like modes or object importer, when it is done.
Meanwhile, improve your priorities Nesrally and stop advertising to drink in your signature please. Thanks.
U might be pissed of by me complaining also, but thats the way an open marked and community works. U have the right to set the rules for this Forum and tell me to erase my signature, which i have. But I strongly feel its none of ur business which priority I should improve.....
Re: Maniaplanet 2 Update
I just think you should take it easy on Nadeo, since we know this is a transition time, and we know they are working hard on it. You can´t do some things like before, but why can´t you adapt to it for a while? Everything will be fine when this period is over.
I agree that things could have been done in a better way, but it´s ok, we can get over it.
You just want more more more, complain, complain, complain...
argh, game developers must handle so much, and keep motivation to continue. So hard that I only can congratulate them.

From yesterday over in the ShootMania forum.
Click the link for full release notes which includes info about ShootMania updates:

I've edited the quote with what I could see was applicable to TM or general MP stuff that TM players would be interested in.

Changelog :
- General
Trackmania
- Added maniaplanet://#qjoin=server@title and #qspectate for "quick/quiet join" that skips the connection dialog.
- Manialink quads : new attribute "bgcolorfocus" of type Vec3, allowing to change focus effect color.
- Clouds and sprite animations were sometimes "not smooth"
- fixed the newly added tunnel blocks. warning: may break some maps, most notably the double checkpoint in tunnels is changed.

I haven't heard anything. But let's do a test.Demented wrote:Have you heard if Offline Play is possible again with this update?
I've already updated to 1.2e and logged in with it once.
I've now restarted MP and clicked cancel when it tried to connect to the master server.
And then I get this dialog:

If I click OK, the game closes.
So I guess that's a no.
