Example of a ManiaFlash

ManiaFlash is the newest online service by Nadeo Live. It allows you to create a manialink in a few clicks. Then you can publish easily.

You can create up to 5 channels and publish as many messages as you want.

Every players that have bookmarked your channel will receive your messages directly in their ManiaHome notifications.

You can test it on the manialink : ManiaFlash

Feel free to test it (and report bugs!) and suggest any features that you want to be included.

You can not edit posts when they are wrong?
It would be nice if by chance is sent with errors, website, links, etc. :thumbsup:

Presumably we'll get some sort of API that will allow us to publish messages outside the game?

The main issue with message modification is that everyone which has subscribed your channel has already received the old message.

I'm getting "invalid customisation" when I specify a background image and an icon.

There goes my idea of creating a music-channel. Your musicchannel is awesome, gouxim. Like it :thumbsup:

Is there a special format for the background/icon files?

EDIT:
Would be nice to note somewhere, how the link field below the text message works, when you publish a message. Am I right, that this field works for manialinks only? :?:

A suggestion: It would be cool to see the amount of comments on one message directly, like it is done on the Maniahome notifications :thumbsup:

Yep, you are forced to use ManiaLink in order to promote the system. Moreover it's kinda annoying for the user to get the game minimized everytime he clicks on a notification. I'll change the label in order to make this clearer.

The icon shoud be square, let's say 50x50 should be enough.

The background should be 2048*1024 to be high def !

For sure it would also cause a lot of hits on the WebServices API :D
Anyway keep in mind that users will bookmark your channel and get all message directly on their ManiaHome notification and they will see comments directly this way.
But I wrote this down as a possible improvement.
