It would be great if you add on your first post the file format (DXT1, DXT5, alpha or not etc) after each "data explained"

Diffuse.dds should be saved in DXT1 no alpha i guess. or not ?^^
For the Specular.dds I did some test with DXT1 no alpha and DXT5 interpolated alpha. But the résult is not good, textures are weird, like plastic

I've edited the Diffuse.dds, but no changes are showing up in my game. I'm using GIMP - is it necessary to edit all of the mipmaps that appear as well as the main image to make changes? It's my first time texturing.

EDIT: Managed to get the skin to show up as different to the regular skin, but now it is red. Is this the alpha channel showing through? If so, how can I remove it?

EDIT EDIT: Managed to remove alpha channel - skin now works fine enough but is oddly distorted - legs have face texture, the back of the shield is green etc. Will have to figure this out tomorrow. Still, results are mildly entertaining.

Use dxtbmp. I automatically make mipmaps etc.

regarding alphas and dxt1,2,5. That's pretty much a matter of what you need and or want.
With dxt1+alpha you can make things transparent. I personally use dxt5 when possible.

So, I edit the files to my liking with GIMP, and I exported all the files into a separate new directory when I was saving them (I made sure to copy over the gbx files) but I can't seem to get it to work, whenever I load up the skin in the game it's a bright, shiny red... I tried removing the alpha channels as suggest before on all the files and their mipmaps, but that seemed to have no effect... I have no idea what's going on, so if anyone can leave a suggestion, I'll try it.

Yes, I have it in the .zip, it shows up in game with the name of the .zip. But it's just all a bright, shiny, red...

Hey.

Which one exactly do I have to edit, just to change the shield? Like I wanna put a logo on the shield like some players did.

Thanks
