Yeah, good guess, but I play with the sound on my speakers through an amplifier, so windows sound is always at maximum.

Hey, thanks for that hint. It works just fine, but the point still remains, that the engine sound disappears at random, if you enable high sound quality in the settings.

1. The engine sound sometimes disappears completely and appears at random again, all other sounds like the sounds of drifting tyres or crashing sounds are still working, just the engine mutes. 2.
