Looks like severe packet loss, perhaps check your connection/firewall?(also satellite connections are horrible for gaming just due to the very nature of how they work)

I think the rocket speed is just perfect, and I really think that it's wrong to compare other games with SM. Quake rockets, have splash damage, and quake has a much easier method of changing directions Counterstrike doesn't even have slow projectiles that have a linear trajectory. Tribes, the moveme...

Just because they did something with a reason doesn't mean that reason is a good one. Face it, if you're going to make a fast paced arcade competitive FPS, you're going to draw the attention of people who are used to games like Quake, Unreal Tournament and perhaps even the occasional Counterstrike p...
