Ok, I've made progress on this ... so far, while being an administrator and having tried several servers in different countries, resetting router and modem, resetting PC, and replacing router, with no change. I went into the TM network settings, hit 'reset to default' (even though it was already def...

I can see the server list, download updates ok, rankings etc work, however I'm unable to actually join a server and just get "Please Wait" until I escape out of it.

TM is allowed on Windows Firewall, and I have BT Infinity (12Mb download / 13.5Mb upload) through a BT home hub.

Just for the record, TM2V also wouldn't load with 375Mb, but now runs nicely on a cheap 2Gb fanless card

I've played Canyons and the Stadium beta on a machine with similar specs (just a different model of equally old graphics card, slightly slower CPU), so I was hoping I could get it to run on this one with a little persuasion

I know, this PC is built from parts I got out of a skip, but it works nicely (runs GTA San Andreas no problem), and I've played older Trackmania incarnations on much much slower machines. I wouldn't mind if it ran but was pulling 10fps or something, or if I just got a message saying my graphics card...
