I am curious what kind of verification process this is? Why is sending out keys not automated so I can enjoy my purchase right away ?

Hi, I just bought Trackmania 2 and installed it. However when creating my account it asks for the key which will be send to my emaiol in several hours? This means I just bought a game I cant play?
