Re: Trackmania² Valley Released!

I would guess so, I can run nice enough looking graphics on my NVIDIA 8800 GTS, which is pretty old these days!

Re: Maniaplanet Update #3 - wishlist

1. Editor option to set respawn height for Valley CP arena blocks The main thing I have found in Valley is on those platform blocks with "dual layer" roads, when you respawn it always respawns you on the top. This makes those blocks pretty hard to use in maps where respawns must work, and they are ...

Re: Trackmania² Valley Released!

If you want rain, go play a game that is a driving simulation. Trackmania is an arcade racer, and I hope it stays that way. Why change things to turn it into something else? As for the pricing, I think it's pretty reasonable. Lots of companies release games that are basically the same year after yea...

Re: Brakesliding

I've played lots of tracks where you need to release the gas, not slide. That's the way to drive and it works well on tech style maps. Not all Trackmania games are about sliding, in fact, the majority require straight-line braking or releasing gas to drive properly. You can have great passages that ...

Re: Valley first impressions

Meh, that depends on how the track itself is made. There are Stadium tracks with exactly the same issue, it's just more common in Valley. Just because the handling is like GRiD2 does not mean you should build start/stop type tracks here. Yeah, that's true of course. I'm sure that as the game progre...

Re: Trackmania² Valley Released!

There are some guys who have mastered the dirt using kb so far, so it is possible, it will just take some practice.

I imagine that tracks won't generally use very long dirt sections, so maybe it's an issue that is amplified by the difficulty of trying to drive these nadeo dirt maps.

Re: Valley first impressions

I enjoyed my first day playing the game. The most important thing for me is that Valley seems a lot more complex than Canyon, and there is a lot more to learn with the driving and controlling the car. I really like the fact there is a mix of no-slide, sliding and the dirt handling. I think that shou...

Re: Valley: Screenshot/Video/Article Discussion

Surely that means braking before the corner would be the best then? Like real driving :pil
