from my experience, shaders, water/car reflections, 2d/3d decals and compatibility->light from map are the most demanding ones.

Hitbox and netcode have been improved for a long time. I don't find the hitbox totally bad even if it's not perfect ;) Netcode isn't really a problem since they improved it.
