I would like to say that promising updates and then simply delaying them with a full year (because you change plans and wanna focus on TM) is véry véry missleading and in a way it are just lies.
I'm not saying this because I wanna put some oil on the fire or make things worse. I'm just expressing a feeling.
For example the power-up was mentioned in July 2014 and if you open that topic you can read that it sounds nothing like "We will focus on TM in 2015 with 0 updates in 2015 for SM." Hylis didn't create this power-up thread to have it ready 2years later. No he didnt.
I would like to avoid communication like this in the future as it is missleading. Obviously NADEO didnt have bad intentions, but I guess it should have been handled better.

So players are slowly leaving, then we get news about this promising update so that players stick around because faith is restored! The future has been assured: Regular updates + Power-Up to have a good FPS in the beginning of 2015. Then not a single word of information what so ever. Absolutely nothing. To then find out (on a forum hardly anyone reads, not even in the SM section) that the focus in 2015 will be on TrackMania and that we dont have to expect any updates in 2015 for ShootMania. This game has never had a playerbase this small and it's decreasing every day.
I know it's no fun for you either, but how are we supposed to feel? You dont honestly expect us to be happy with this, dont you? We don't get any explanations here in the ShootMania threads. We dont get an apology. We get nothing.
The only thing positive at the moment is Paragon which is doing an awesome job every week.
Ask yourself this:
- Would Paragon-League have existed if they knew no updates were coming?
- Same question for CPS.
A couple of weeks ago Hylis said that the team is bigger than ever and that it never ran as smooth as now in the offices! "Ubisoft believes in NADEO and we're going to create a great game"
Well, in this maniaplanet blogpost you can read these exact same words too, almost 1 year ago!
I still believe in NADEO, but you are certainly losing your credibility ( and players )
And then you started this "no communication/teasers-thingy" which simply doesn't work and of all the games I have played I never saw any devs doing it like this.
I know it's about patience, but in this case it doesnt feel like a virtue at all. I'm honestly and deeply dissapointed. I know you all have 2 hands and you cant do everything at once.... but still...
Start listenting to your community and pro-players and give us what we want via frequent updates : Leaderboards, Statistics, More Blocks and Block-Improvements, an overall improved design ( both MP as SM ) and frequent updates for all other things. Build upon what you have rather than adding new stuff.
