Final of the E3 Twitch.tv tournament and E3 - Link

E3 part about ShootMania:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-ZQSEwOiGY#t=1h19m25s

Hello everyone,

After yesterday’s heated competition on Twitch.tv, there are two victorious teams - "Mercenary Ops" and "Team YouTube Money". Both teams have won tickets to the finals at E3 to compete!

These teams will have the privilege to play in the finals at E3 at the Ubisoft booth on June 6th at 11.00am PST (6.00pm GMT).

As we mentioned in a previous news post, there will be an exclusive showmatch between pro-gaming stars during the official Ubisoft E3 Press Conference on June 4th at 3.00pm PST (10.00pm GMT) on the Ubisoft Youtube channel.

And finally a live interview with Edouard Beauchemin (MrBob) will take place on Twitch.tv on 5th June at 12.00am PST (7.00pm GMT)

So it’s a great agenda for E3 and we hope that you’re ready to follow it!

The show during the ubisoft press conference was kind of not that hype, IMO you should have gotten mercops and youtubemoney to play one regular elite rules showmatch rather then these other groups playing a half game. Should have also turned off the music.

It really didn't show off anything exciting, none of the clutch tense moments that make shootmania fun to watch, it was just over in like a minute, all rounds ended with a quick triple kill except the last one. Would have taken like an extra 10 minutes of time to run a game between the two champ teams, maybe there's a reason ubisoft couldn't have spared the time and done a slightly longer show but I can't think why.

Basically, was not even nearly remotely half as impressive as it could have been :(

Even with the challenge, it did managed to do something. I wanted the girls to score another point and watched it with interest. But it was not half impressive because it was half of a match and not a 'finale', I agree. But girls versus boys was probably a better idea than YT$ and Mercops since watchers were not all aware of the Twitch playoffs, even if the channel reached 850K+ views.

I would have liked as well to see it more, but what you have seen before, with AC3 and after with Watch Dogs was worth the time as well I think ^_^ Ubisoft made a good place for eSport and I think it is the most important thing of the presentation in itself. It gives also more visibility for the game and more people to register for the beta and participate to this new adventure I think.

I think it is the only game from all conferences that would have talked about eSport. The perfect is the ennemy of the good :roflol:

I have also watched the show, but to be honest, I was a bit disappointed about it. But maybe that's because the eSports don't have my interest: I want to have fun playing a game and I don't play it purely for competition.
I really hoped that Ubisoft would also show the announcement trailer, because I think that this trailer is more appealing for all the people watching the press conference at E3 and online, and not only to the eSport people.

But anyway, I'm sure ShootMania will be great

That was an old interview.
So will the new interview pop up on shootmania news? (there was a blackout during the interview when watching on twitch)

crosspost from reddit:
Trying to salvage bits of the interview from twitch VODs (black out was still there)
So interview with Stermy starts at 48:40 here, fast forward to 57:30 to see the part with mrbob and the level editor. Last piece with the woman starts here

Interesting parts:

- new modes called melee, battle and royal
- maps called icemania and longestday

It was a great finals match. The announcing was good and the play excellent. Best game out of the tournament, with lots of high performance action. Not so many close grabs or last second finishes, but when you have da bears on your side the game is more tipped in your favor, evident of their 3-0 rounds win. Good game everyone, and thank you for showing off a great tournament game soon to be out. I'll see you all in beta!
