Yep, I would also like it ;)

I updated it again, now it allows you to set a weapon for each spawn in the editor. Additionally you can use random weapons now.

The good news is we run a lot of small maps that are great for 2v2!

Just search Crit

We are also hosting a tournament if you want to scramble a team together. Maps are submitted by other community members, a "contest". Hate to advertise in this thread, but I suppose it semi fits.

I really hope we can get rCTF up and running and rotating with iCTF (still no word from the man who made the script we run though)

I'm trying to get some people from other servers to come and play (going around asking "Does anyone want to play some CTF?"), I'll go to #sas CTF even if I find noone (staying and waiting on the server usually works after a while)

Edit: playing 2v2, come on everyone :D

got the script up and running :-) Good stuff. Arrow CTF is great for a round or two of hilarity :-)

To all those who run CTF servers, feel free to check out some of our CTF maps. (all were made for ictf but work for others)

Noob question... How do I find CTF games? I currently only play the default types like Elite, Storm, and Joust. I don't really understand how to find servers running custom scripts, but I would like to try them.

usually all custom scripts servers are in Storm title (: sometimes they have their own title (like SpeedBall), but you still can play on SpeedBall servers from Storm title.

Are you NA?

If so go to the storm title pack, click the search button type in CTF or Crit and I can guarantee you find at-least 1 ctf server :-)

Other than searching, you can also filter by gametype and select "custom modes" or whatever that option is called there. Only about 8 pages of servers will remain, and it's not hard to look through those.

Rogo: I hope the your maps are good, because so far the only non-instagib CTF server with a decent set of maps is the #sas one, which is using a bugged old version of the script... :)

Edit: Just realized it's a NA server... I might check it out anyway, ping might be okay for casual play. Still, someone should set up a European server with good maps and good script...

Some maps are better than others as always. All maps are currently made by CRIT members. We have had one tournament, which was a blast! I like to think the maps are good, however they are very high paced. Smaller style maps and everyone has their own tastes. Which leads me to:

We are also hosting a second tournament shortly! iCTF user made maps contest/tournament. If any of you would like to participate in the map making (prizes for NA only sorry) but your map could be played :-) we would love to see some of your work! The more maps the better :-)

Yes, I am NA. I'll try that out. I have about had it with the community in Elite (too small and half that are on there are rude). Hopefully the CTF community is a funner group of people; otherwise I may be done with this game already... Sad with how excited I was when I first saw it and preordered it last year. I thought it might be the next Quake, but the community is small and many in Elite more are elitist (pun intended) and will kick you if you are not part of their click.
