this is sort of how i think the editor should work

the blocks should only be used to make large shapes. as the map would look awful if you only used blocks to make the whole thing. it possibly should be similar to portal 2's test chamber editor

I think there should be puzzle blocks. and they should only be useable in item mode.
map makers would have to place puzzle elements by hand in item mode.

and use of mediatracker should be encouraged. because players could create cutscenes and possibly attach a story to their quest or dungeon or whatever it is.

blocks should be able to interact with each other. like a door could be blocked with bars until you step on a switch.
roughly translated: the book of the dead.
