Total Solar Eclipse 2017

Post by eyebo »

Last month I was fortunate enough to see the Total Solar Eclipse that swept across the US.

The path of totality was only about 2 hours North of where I live. But it was forecasted to be partly cloudy. I didn't want to risk missing this rare event.

So we took off Sunday morning and drove all day to reach Fort Laramie, Wyoming, where we spent the night. Then we drove on into Glendo, Wyoming on Monday morning, the day of the Eclipse. Thousands of others were there, many from Colorado (the State just South of Wyoming).

The skies were amazing, and the weather was fantastic.

Seeing totality is something I'll never forget as long as I live. And I hope I get to see more in the future.

This is a short 14 minute video of my journey to Wyoming to watch and film the Eclipse, and my reaction afterwards.

Great coverage of one of the rarest things you can see in your life time. I had the luck to witness two so far, maybe I will be able to see a third one in my life time.

Beautiful indeed. Thanks for sharing.

I was able to experience one total eclipse so far, and similarly, we travelled to friends in Hungary to get into the path of totality with perfectly clear weather. Most impressive.

Hi :)

Yes it's so magical (thank you for this beautiful video :D ) and I also like when you film the field of sunflowers, a poetic moment.
