Post by wraith »

Hello all.

So i have a chance of 2 new cards and wonder if any yous got any of the 2 ?

Asus ROG STRIX GTX 1050 Ti 4GB

Any Problems with these cards only running TM ?
I do not run any top end games any more ! and only use this pc for TM / Photoshop /Surf etc
my pc is an i7 4790k
sadly graphics card is dead and forced to use on board graphics to get online.
if yous not using the above what cards what are yous using? And any troubles with the card you have ?

I am NOT looking to buy anything top end, my cash is tried up !

Thx to Tmac for me to post it on the forums to ask the community

Any of them will give you good performance, with a 200£ budget you can buy any 1050ti 4gb.

Asus strix if I had to choose from those 2.

MSI gaming x if I had to buy it for myself.

Hey Wraith,
I had some trouble when I first hooked up my Geforce GXT 1060 6GB. My framerates dropped to around 10-30fps which made no sense to me as it was a much better card. Turned out forcing the card to ignore TM settings solved the problem and now even running everything in HD and with highest settings I'm getting no lag at all. (Even when viewing 100 replays at once!). Seems like it was trying to process everything twice.
No idea why the game settings wouldn't override the card settings but, I had the same issue with my old card too.

Enjoy your new card. It's always fun to upgrade! (when things work right)

I couldn't help with this issue but I was watching (not filming for my YewChewb Channel). When a video card fails, we all feel the pain!

Actually, on a 1050 with 4GB I got on a 1080 screen between 60-80 FPS. Except, Valley and a lot of trees brings it down to it knees.
