I have run tmfserver.com (tm forever servers for rent) for allmost 4 years.
And i can tell you, you have to make all servers independant. Allthough you
have an option in directory layout to run from one gameserver, it will have
to be an update all-at-once.
Yes updating all independant is more work, but you just cant kill a server
from a customer with 30 players on it lol

For easy management i would suggest you take a look at nouse-tools pack.
Orginally made for trackmania. excellent adjustable for maniaplanet :clap:

It's not the way a deb package work, sorry :?

I may do another package (something like maniaplanet-server-scripts) that provide scripts to update the server given the install path.
Something like

Code: Select all

./maniaplanet-server update ~/server
and the brand new server is installed there.
