In the past, for Trackmania, I have always been hosting my own server, but for Shootmania I decided to get some money together for a professionally hosted server. I did lots of research, and found many pros and cons (though mostly cons) about the different hosts I found. Finally I ended up with shootmaniaserver.org (server7) where I am currently still hosting my server. In the beginning I was very satisfied, I got lots of support when needed. However, for about two months now, it is completely impossible to get any kind of support there. The IRC channel is always empty, and every support form I fill in, is answered automatically with a delivery failure notification.
Since it has been such a long time, and I couldn't think of any other possible way to contact them, I decided to create this topic, hoping that some of them read this forum.
Also, if there are other people hosting at server7, do you experience the same trouble with their support?

Lucky you. I NEVER EVER got any response to my (tm2 server related) problems. I wrote them 3 times until now and never received any answer. So the hoster is good unless you get problems. Than you're on your own. And I see on their FB page few angry customers with the same problem. Basicly their policy is that they offer support ONLY to servers with no modified files but if you want to (ie) enable tm-karma you have to change one file (add credentials to it) and then you're e

okay, after some more experience, i indeed don't advice to use this serverhost anymore. their latest dedicated update has been on february 27th, and our server has been inaccessible since the official release of shootmania. it is completely impossible to contact them in whatever way.

Please don't bring any support issues regarding server hosting to this forum..
We should all avoid any specific acknowledgement of commercial services here, whether good or bad. If you have problems with a host, address it with them. If still unsatisfied, discontinue your service and demand a refund (don't feel afraid to deny credit card charges if you paid for a service you never attained). Even if you have a glowing recommendation for a host, still.. this isn't the place to mention it.
