Cannot Connect to Server (12002)

Recently across TM2 Stadium and Canyon, I couldn't connect to mp05.maniaplanet.com, better known as the master server where all of your info is stored on. I have tried anything from far and wide, on many forums. Uninstalling and reinstalling, opening up leaving ports on my firewall, and I have even temporarily disabled my anti-virus software to try and get the game to work.

When I did disable my anti-virus software, I also got a message saying my CD key doesn't work. Just as a reminder, I'm running the Steam version of TM2 Stadium and Canyon.

I did eventually got the game to connect via Stadium, but I couldn't change account stuff, like adding in the email I forgot to add, and it couldn't update. Also, choosing a multiplayer server takes forever to get to the server details to join. Apperently, I lucked out on that try, because I then tried Canyon to see if it worked, and to no surprise, I get the dreaded window saying "Couldn't connect to server (12002)"

Is there anyway to make it work besides the things that I have tried up there? There has to be more.

Also, if you comeback saying that you have the same problem, I will shake my head in shame and beat you with a stick. :teub: Just kidding.

at least if its listed as Ok you can at least look elsewhere for your error.

another reason could be IE in offine mode.

Sometimes in the past, it happenend that there was either a issue with the masterserver, or with the communication network to it.

Error 12029 is typically IE offline, but here it looks like a direct connection error, much earlier in the connection phase.

One possible issue is that your firewall is blocking Maniaplanet, happens especially after an update, or because the system (av software, firewall, defender) detects that Maniaplanet is fetching data (also ingame: skins, signs, maps, mods, music, etc.).

Disabling the AV software should not give the error of missing CD key, this is probably a totally different issue.

For Windows 10, would this be Microsoft Edge, as IE is Internet Explorer?

Also, the anti-virus software I use is AVG 2015 Free Version.

could not connect: wrong password please make sure you spelled your password right.
but it has not been changed.
I'm from Italy.

and again cannot connect to the server (12002)

ping relay02.v04.maniaplanet.com is working ,from cmd.exe
what can be?
i tried even without firewall. windows firewall in win 7 x64 ultimate.

It doesn't depends from password, yesterday it have been accepted me after many retries. And i played in lagoon and stadium for some minutes in multiplayer.
