TM United key - only TM Nations Forever content available?

Hi forum,

I've dug up my old TM United booklet with the key and wanted to install it using these files: http://files.trackmaniaforever.com/tmun ... _setup.exe

However, when I install it and enter my key, I get only access to TM Nations Forever content and it says in the main menu "Discover United" without any possibility to actually play or activate it. I've installed TM 2 Canyon as well and tried to add TMU to the Maniaplanet client via URL or file on disk. From disk does not work, the client doesn't find anything and from URL doesn't as well with the link pasted above. Sooo, anyone got an idea how to get the TMU content? I'd really love to experience TMU once again. Do I need the CD to install it correctly? It's about 200km away from me right now.

Reminder: it's ManiaPlanet forum.

Are you using the same account you used when you installed the game for the first time? Creating new account within United gives a Nations account, so in order to access all United features, you gotta login to your original account.

Well, there's no possibility to play TMU on ManiaPlanet officially. You can't add it to game as titlepack ( titlepack = maniaplanet minigame or something like that). But, you can try user recreations of the TMU(F) as title pack. There are 2 recreations - by me and by florenzius (and some guys).

You have to install it by downloading it from ingame store.

There's impossible to recreate TMUF to ManiaPlanet as 1:1 recreation. The physics are related (but not the same) and cams are different (bad in desert env). Also my titlepack is not finished yet, so bugs may appear. For play, you will need to have TM2 Stadium and TM2 Valley environments bought. Also you will be able to use stadium content from TMUF, other envirnments can't be opened in MP.

@ Dommy: Sorry if I posted the issue in the wrong subforum, I didn't quite know where to put it. I'm using my original account and it logged me in without any problem. I forgot to mention that it asks "Do you want to enter a TrackMania United key to convert your account into an United account?" and when doing so, the message saying that the key would already be associated to a TMU account. I'm very sure that I did not have any other email address associated to the TMU account and that I'm using my original account from ye olde times. The message popping up would suggest otherwise, but I can't think of any other account I may have used and it's the same account I've used for TM Nations and TM 2. Is there a possibility to retrieve account information using my key?

One thing to note here is that TM2 and TMNF/TMUF accounts are completely separate from each other.

I just bought the TM pack on Steam including TMU Star Edition, TM² Canyon/Valley/Stadium for a whole 20 bucks and don't need all the hassle anymore Too bad I own 50% of it already, but oh well. Thanks for the help here, I'm surprised the TM community is still this active!

The TMU community is alive and still producing tracks, running servers etc, just as the newer Maniaplanet community had been until a couple of years ago.
Right now (6:00am AEST) there are 8,871,754 registered players, 784 active servers (United plus Nations) each hosting between 2 and 40 players (all alive, racing and chatting). That translates to thousands of TMU players with nothing better to do than race in TM United right now and the first ten pages in-game show more than 400 active players.
