I know that ManiaPlanet is based around Trackmania^2 games as I've read it on FAQ, but I still want to ask this:

Account for ManiaPlanet and account for TM United are 2 separate things, right? I can't use my TMU account for ManiaPlanet too?

that´s right

coppers (ingame currency) of tm1 are not usable in tm² (the ingame currency is named planets in tm²), you can´t convert or transfer coppers into planets
but don´t worry, you´ll have enough for the start if you buy a maniaplanet title
