Issue with Tm2 and drifting

Hi,

So I got this weird issue with drifting in Trackmania 2. Namely, often when I drift or take a long slide to the left or right, suddenly my car changes direction (wheels turn back to forward direction ), despite having left- or right direction key pressed down.

Has anyone else encountered such issue and what could be the solution to fix this?
