Custom Cars [In multiplayer beta]

Hello,

So I downloaded some tmu(f) 3D car models from http://www.trackmania-carpark.com/. Does anyone know how to get these models to work in Trackmania2 Canyon?

I actually very easy (i made a account here just to tell people)

you install cars the save way as you would with tmu (you can make a "carcommon" folder).

but you can't select the vehicle for your profile until you pack it, you can only view it under painter.

to allow you to use it, from the main menu go to editors -> manage packs.

once there hit "create new...", then "add", then select the skin's .zip file you wish to use, then hit "create" (you will need your verification code)

after that you can select it for your profile, then your good to go

it doesn't seem to be fully working for me though.

I downloaded a pack (.zip) and I create a pack in-game but when I do it tells me "pack created successfully", "invalid file name"

I can see it has created the pack but it doesn't look like the zip was actually included. Any suggestions?

*EDIT* tried it again with a different pack. and i get the message "Unable to register pack: This maniacredited package has already been added" ????

check if the file name has any special characters like "@ # % ^ *" if is dose, try removing them.

yeah the file name had a _ in it... So now it successfully creates pack.

This is what I've got Documents\ManiaPlanet\Skins\Vehicles\CarsCommon\GolfGTImk2.zip

I create new pack> add > (select the GolfGTImk2.zip file and choose add) > The name of the new pack is automatically chosen based on the zip file name > I click create > progress bar... "Pack Successfully Registered"

So I think AWESOME!.. but not.. The new pack appears on the left side of the screen. If I click it I can see the Pack name and if I had any comments on the pack, but no files included. (which I assume should show the zip file that I previously added).

I check the Editors>Paint a Car> car model isn't there.
so I check Profile>Vehicles> car model isn't there.

Maybe a dumb question.. but i have no idea..

Where and how do you get the verification code?

I wasn't prompted for the code and I assume its because I was already verified. But I believe its the same code you use when you activate your account (should have been emailed to you when you bought the game)
