Fun outside the box

Items can be placed on-top/next-to other items which can be used to build outside of the construction area:


The "only" limitation to building is the camera, as it must be pointed into the build-area and has limited zoom. Even that could be overcome by setting pivot points if you are willing to not see what you are doing! Still, it's fairly easy to triple the total size in each of the three dimensions.

Is there a way around the camera constraints?

There's a "fun" map like this where you drive around in the canyons outside of the build area, and the finish is after a whole circle.

Sure, you could patch the game to allow to go further distances.

Honestly making tracks that go kms from the start isn't practical (tedious not fun to race on). But often it is nice to have wiggle-room for going a few extra cells out, such as when a turn can't quite fit. The camera patch isn't really necessary for this but it is still easier to work with.

Do you know of any "good" tracks that use out-of-box construction?
