Which codec is the best from my list?

Post by Sparkster »

Hi Trackmaniacs. I'm trying to make some videos showing cuts on my Sparkstedition tracks. I tried one codec and it takes forever to succeed and the other one has no audio. So I'm asking you.

What Codec should I use from this list:
- Microsoft RLE
- Microsoft Video 1
- Intel IYUV Codec (I have it twice. Dunno why?)
- Cinepac Codec by Radius
- CamStudio Lossless Codec
- Full Pictures (Uncompressed)

Or should I use another codec for videos?
Thanks for your regards.

For postprocessing, use a fast lossless compression only.

For final videos, you should take H.264 or newer, this is quasi standard nowadays.

What is fast and lossless?

Hehehe. Well I've installed the K-Lite codec. Let's see if it works.

EDIT: The K-Lite codec is not on my list. What I am doing wrong?

*seufz* now you're really noobisch or really dumb
Sorry, but you should try to inform yourself a minimum, really :P

The K-Lite codec pack is a pack of codecs, and not a codec itself.
If you would have read the K-Lite documentation, or done a customized installation, you would have seen the choice of codecs that are delivered...

 well...
Whatever I'm using the Intel IYUV Codec for my Videos now and render them in Adobe Premiere Elements 10. This will take a long while because I have a 6 years old laptop.

Thanks for this anyway.
