Re: How to change and make custom crosshairs?
Awesome crossharis guys, but can anyone show how to make them? Would appreciate it!
Re: How to change and make custom crosshairs!
Interesting things, should be awesome to keep them available out of beta too.

Re: How to change and make custom crosshairs!
wanted a strongly visible, but unobtrusive CH that uses 3 dots for laser
laser / rocket
(taken at 1400x1050, for whatever reason laser CH looks smaller)
download

here are 9 crosshairs I created and grouped into a little package. I didn't make simple dots because you can already find some in this forum.
I try to do more later, don't hesitate to ask me some custom crosshairs skins !

Re: List of custom crosshairs and guide to make them!
I'm pretty new to this, even though I'm aware of Shootmania since it went public for first time somewhen around sumemr last year.
However, following this thread, I thought it wouldn't be to strenous to create a cross, more like how simple is it to create sprites for quake, cs and co, but in the end using the aforementioned Nvidia plug-in I encounter a few problems.
Opening files is kinda fine, as the mipmaps are self-explaining, albeit it's kinda interesting that they scale down to a single pixel cross... what does that mipmap levels in the cross file tell us ?
Getting back to my main question, if opening the nucleus default dds you get a cross with several levels of green and grey in it, how do the different level of green and the grey actually effect the cross ?
Is there a tutorial about this ?
And how do you save the finished file ?
The Nvidia plug-in gives you a myriad of possible saving options from 4bpp to 128bpp, RGB to ABGR gamut, multiple Alpha channel options and so much stuff, what's the right config for Shotomania default criss cross hairs ?
