I'd like to add that NADEO shouldnt forget that the matchmaking servers is the ONLY thing that demo-users see.
This makes them buy the game or not.

If you join a SSM lobby, you will get a bad impression of the visuals. They added logos all over the place, some design isnt loading & it just looks 10x worse than the original NADEO mm-servers.
Maybe NADEO should forces others to use the default design for mm-servers with minimal customisation-options.

Just my suggestion^^
The neverending waiting game has to stop.

You have bad impression maybe other players don't , it's just an opinion . For me the logos are just too big , but Speed ( ssm boss ^^ ) make his loby like he want , even if sometimes i try to make him understand some change will be good ( like rail in the lobby ) . And when you press F6 , all logos disapear , don't forget this ^^

For the design , i gonna explain you :

- No master board . It's a choice . For me master board is useless , i don't care to know who was the best player in a game ( it's just my opinion ) . I will prefere a board , with best king of lobby score . Somethin like best times in TrackMania .

1 - Player 1 - 84 frags
2 - Player 42 - 80 frags
3 - player 54 - 79 frags
...

For me , that will be give more interests to players , when they will play in the lobby before leave to a match , but it's just an idea ^^

-Left borad , ally board :

We have change it , in order to make a better vision for player when they play . But is a feature will come to hide borad has you has proposed we will change it .

Maybe you don't like changes , but maybe other player like ( i don't know ^^ ) .

I'm not sure nadeo want to do this , they never do it for other games . They always let teams make their own servers , with their design . For me the best thing , will be to have more MM-server maked by teams .

But we will see , in the futur ^^

I can say I know 10people who dislike the "new design" in the SSM lobbies. You will reply that you know 11people that like the design :roflol:

My opinion is not more important than others, but all I can do is come to these forums and share my opinion. I"ve been desiging for a very long time, I studied this @ university and I had to read 3-4 books about user-friendliness, usability and related topics. With all my "experience" ive come to the conclusion that having these custom ( and poorly ) redesigned mm-lobbies is not a smart move.

Why isnt it a smart move? If this SSM server was just a random server then I wouldnt care, but the thing is that during the day the SSM-lobby is the ONLY MM-server being used. So that server needs to look like a boss and work 100% so people play this game and get the best experience possible which will make them comeback/buy.

I could take a screenshot and point out 10things I dont like about the SSM-lobbies, but Im not gonna do that.
-SM logos? Not necessary
-TS link? Nice
- No Masters? I agree, Masters isnt really important unless it would have some interesting info/stats.
- Removed playerlist background/design? --> WTFudge, it looks horrible now :D
- Added servername above ur team (3players) --> Why? The servername is already in the middle in a huge font.
- SM logo? Why? :s I know I am playing SM. Which other game shows its logo all the time? None.
- SM logo 2x? Why? :s
- Maniaplanet logo? Why :s I know its a maniaplanet game.
- SSM logo? Okay
- "Press Ready"text bottom mid. Ready-button left...? Why :s
- Invite/quit button seperated? Why :s

I dont wanna complain and I absolutely mean well with this post. My underlying idea in this post is to have more happy demo-players.

vous vous poser pas la bonne question , pourquoi aujourd'hui mon server lobby est le plus fréquenter ???

Instead of criticising the Lobby interface (and by pressing the key F6 the interface becomes the same interface of the Ubisoft servers), you should ask for the right questions: why my lobby server is the most played today???
This is the good question, and if Ubisoft find the answer then I will close my servers because there won't be any advantage to play on my servers.
(((It's right that I don't know how to attract players on a server, someone has an idea? Since 2005 you can't stop criticising me whereas the SSM servers belong to the most played servers. When I read you, I feel that you want to give me lessons. So prove me that my choices are not the good ones because it's your choices which are not currently the good ones)))

Debating about an interface can be a debate without end. Yes we can say that an interface can be more intuitive, beautiful, friendly, etc but it's also a question of taste and habit of using it.
I think that Speed raised a really good question: why are his servers so famous?

No i know 15 players who like it , they are all SSM :D ( it's just a joke ^^ )

What I wanted to say was just , all have differents Various tastes , so it's difficult to judge a design . For exempel , i don't like shootmania menu design , but maybe other players like it . That why we can't just heard one guys and make a design just for him .

I think if we have lot of players on our lobby , it's maybe because they like it . But me , to be honest , i don't care about the design , i just come and i just play , like lot of players i think ^^

i know you want the best for nex players , with the aim of have more players in SM and we have the same objective , that why Speed work all days on the design and on the lobby .

-Removed playerlist background : If to have a best view when you play in the lobby , because if you keep the original design you see nothing on your right . But if nadeo make a better solution like you have proposed , we will use it . But for the moment it's the better solution .

- Servername abbove ur team : Don't realy understand what you mean , i just see the server name in a huge front .

- SM and Maniaplanet logos : I'm agree ^^ , but Speed just want to pay homage to Nadeo , it's not a bad thing i think.

- Ready text and ready button : I never saw this text , so i don't realy saw where is the problem ^^

-Invite / quit button seperated : Why not ? That does not raise me more problem than that , because i never use quit/invite button . I always you escape to leave , like lot of players .

So as you can see we have lot of reasons to make this design , but i can understand if you don"t like it , it's your taste .

I think if they come on our server , it's because they like it , so they are happy ^^ . I know we can do better , but we need time , and like you we try do to the best to have more player in the game .

I don't take it personally , i like criticism like this , you help us to do the bestwith your criticism . i d'ont like it , when it's just " This is shit " , but here you criticism are good , and we can understand it . So it's good to discuss about this , but i think we need more opinions before to do something .
