w1lla wrote:Hi,

There is a thing called server controller to check those statistics.

You can make it possible by using the query or method:

Code: Select all

GetNetworkStats()
Returns a struct containing the networks stats of the server. The structure contains the following fields : Uptime, NbrConnection, MeanConnectionTime, MeanNbrPlayer, RecvNetRate, SendNetRate, TotalReceivingSize, TotalSendingSize and an array of structures named PlayerNetInfos. Each structure of the array PlayerNetInfos contains the following fields : Login, IPAddress, LastTransferTime, DeltaBetweenTwoLastNetState, PacketLossRate. Only available to SuperAdmin.
source:

http://methods.xaseco.org/methodstmc.php#297

This can help server admins recheck the packlossrate aswell as LastTransferTime aswell as DeltaBetweenTwoLastNetState of there players.

This will not be biased by telling players there ping but trying to lie about it either.

:roflol:
The Dedi just answer me:

Code: Select all

bool(true)
array(9) {
  ["Uptime"]=>
  int(461112)
  ["NbrConnection"]=>
  int(13)
  ["MeanConnectionTime"]=>
  int(611)
  ["MeanNbrPlayer"]=>
  int(0)
  ["RecvNetRate"]=>
  int(100)
  ["SendNetRate"]=>
  int(53)
  ["TotalReceivingSize"]=>
  int(3822)
  ["TotalSendingSize"]=>
  int(2509)
  ["PlayerNetInfos"]=>
  array(1) {
    [0]=>
    array(6) {
      ["Login"]=>
      string(6) "kremsy"
      ["IPAddress"]=>
      string(18) "xx.xx6.29.216:2350"
      ["StateUpdateLatency"]=>
      int(0)
      ["StateUpdatePeriod"]=>
      int(0)
      ["LatestNetworkActivity"]=>
      int(5)
      ["PacketLossRate"]=>
      float(0)
    }
  }
Dunno why these entries are missing, but that means its impossible for me to list the pings somewhere.

Strange... It seemed to work but it seems its removed. Did some checks with the current and other APIs.

Would be nice if this can be fixed in the new API, to have this values back ;).

we have not made update since then and the goal is not to display information, but to improve the situation. so, the goal is that you see how the next update help in that way (if someone has a bad ping, it will not influence the speed you see the others)

No more "snap" or a form of "lag compensation"?
and waaaaay less lagg in lobbies or servers with a lot of players?

Hylis thats great news man! You need to put this in the update#3 thread. People would love to hear this and would love to wait for this :)

So SM is going to be the first game without PINGS in the scoreboard? :roflol: Looks non-sense at all but you are the boss, you decide.

SM right now has a ridiculous player base. Number-wise this game passed from "popular" to "used by few" in less than a year. Your only hope was this "big-update" but it's late, flippin late if you ask me and if it will ever come out, it won't increase the number of players.
